I am currently using this space to create content for a personal blog. Let me start out by saying this is a journey. Right now, I am writing about how we can faithfully and practically imitate Jesus in the smaller things, the everyday. We can only do this through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers.
The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 5:1 to, “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” It is from our identity as children of God that we live our lives; bearing His image and motivated by His love for us.
Often in Paul’s letters, he would provide first theological truth (the bigger things) followed by practical application (the everyday things). That is what I hope to accomplish in the blog posts I write. My goal is to apply theological principles practically so that we can be imitators of God in the everyday, small ways.
I prayerfully and humbly hope that with each post you will be encouraged to live out your faith with focus, courage and boldness. Why? Because our God is worthy and there is a whole world out there that needs the hope of the gospel being lived out everyday right in front of them.
If you are searching for truth, I ask that you always take what I write and then search the Scriptures for yourself. There is no replacement for personal time spent in God’s Word. If you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him – that is a promise!
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.Jeremiah 29:13
